The youngest member of our falconry team at Wye Valley Falconry. Being a female, she is larger and more powerful than the males.
Female Harris Hawks are known for being dominant, coordinating hunts and defending their territories, making them a key part of our birds of prey experiences.

One of the smallest species of eagles in the world, but with a BIG attitude!
These remarkable birds of prey are capable hunters, renowned in Africa for tackling prey many times bigger than themselves, such as hares, rabbits, ducks, and geese.

Chilean Blue Eagle
Adapted for soaring high up in the clouds and mist of the mountains in Chile, these birds then dive down and surprise their prey with a swift attack.

Prey such as rabbits, hares, skunks, reptiles and even other Birds of Prey are on their daily menu.

6 -year old, Female,
Gyr x Saker Falcon
A powerful Falcon bred in the Middle East, for the use of Falconry, by combining size and aggression.
Aero is a very popular bird on experiences, as well as on displays.

7-year-old, Female
Peregrine x Lanner Falcon
Known for her role in our falconry team at Wye Valley Falconry. These birds of prey experiences are quite popular, as they combine the incredible speed of the Peregrine Falcon with the impressive agility of the Lanner Falcon.
Beatrice also has a mischievous habit of playing tag with the local crow population.

13 -year old, Male,
Peregrine x Gyr x Saker Falcon
The quickest bird on the Team, a hybrid created for Wildlife Management in the UK.
These birds are flown in urban areas to scare away gulls, crows and pigeons, that can cause huge problems around hospitals, factories, warehouses, landfill sites, airports, etc.

Spotted Eagle Owl
One of the world's smallest Eagle Owls, these are quite lazy hunters, sitting in shady, low branches and waiting for their prey, like rodents, to walk right past them.

5-year-old, Female
Long Eared Owl.
A British species of owl, but one of the most difficult to be seen. They lead a quiet life in forests and woodland around the UK.
Elsa is a big, cute softie and quite the chatterbox, always saying hello to everyone she meets.

Mottled Owl
Resembling a rotten piece of wood, Mottled Owls have excellent camouflage, and are found in the rainforests of South America.

5 -year old, Male,
Barn Owl
Smokey is a Melanistic Barn Owl, which is why he is a much darker colour.
This is a genetic condition which makes Smokey a little different.
There are only a handful of these Barn Owls located in the wild, in the UK.
